This week I had planned to get together with a friend that I hadnt seen in a while. I was super excited about it but when the day came I became super nervous. I got so nervous that I almost cancelled but then I remebered that the things I feared were only in my head and that if I dont go I am letting my anxiety win. I ended up pushiing myself to go and had an amazing time and I cant wait to see this friend again.

When I get overwhelmed I imagine myself in a place that makes me happy. Sometimes this is a beach that I visited many years ago and other times this is my cottage surrounded by nature. By doing this I can separate myself from the things that are stressing me and causing me to be overwhelmed so that I can calm down and find ways to overcome the things that are stressing me.
